Lazy Sunday

Sunday morning we decided to see some scenery in a different part of town. We ended up almost hitting a dingo-looking dog in a rather interesting area. I tried to get a picture of it but it was too fast. The area we were in was interesting and it's probably a good thing we went there early on a Sunday morning.

Not to be confused with the City of Compton, this street still had its issues:

For lunch we made grilled cheese sandwiches. Afterwards we went out in the back yard and picked some oranges from the tree. Even the orange ones were extremely bitter.

As the sun went down we all headed out to the front porch. Jon and I worked on our websites and Kristi read a book.

It was a rather peaceful moment. The sun was setting, Latin music was drifting over from across the street, pleasant smells were in the wind, and I was in the company of good friends. I'm starting to think I could make Los Angeles home. I had a good time when I was here last year and this time has been even better. LA has always seemed like a crazy place but this time around the craziness seems manageable. Most of the places we have been we have been the ethnic minority and it was a little different at first. But now I am used to it. Having people give you second glances everywhere you go seems normal. A wise man once said "Just remember, anything can happen at anytime in LA." This is true, bad things can happen. But so can many good things. If you just use a little common sense and keep your head about you you will be fine. I really don't want to leave this city. Yes, I think I love Los Angeles.

On a side note check out my Civic (the teal hatchback) in the picture above. Parking in Los Angeles is crazy and even if you don't get just a few inches from someone else's bumper you can expect someone else to get close to yours.

After a nice relaxing evening in the hood we decided to head to LAX to check it out. We saw some incredible sights and a good time was had by all.

Confusion everywhere:

Koala-T is thinking about getting a job at LAX:

Stay tuned as I journey south!
